I have been involved in the Bath/Bristol Music scene for over twenty-five years as a singer, producer, D.J, gig and club night promoter and youth worker.
I was a singer/noise maker in bands including Muckspreader and Walrus, touring part of Europe and America and releasing various E.Ps and vinyl through the nineties and early two thousands.
A member for twenty-four years of the BOB Music Collective which is a DIY/Non-profit organisation running a biannual international music festival in Bremen(Germany), Oakland(USA) and Bath.
Started a DJ Collective with friends called Allovertheshop which ran for ten years playing in all the best venues in Bath. I was a regular late night DJ at Glastonbury Festival in the best backstage cider bar on site, the one and only, Wally's Bar.
I steadily moved into music production and created the mainly studio project Black Rock High with fellow musicians in the Bath area releasing five albums/EPs. From this we briefly formed a seven piece band called The Basement Seven.
I completed and passed a Creative Music Technology Degree and a Sound Production Masters Degree at Bath Spa University focusing mainly on contemporary production and acousmatic sound design based compositions.
Over the last ten years I have worked as a producer and presenter of three separate Radio Shows on community radio Frome FM.
The current one, Basement 7, is an eclectic trip through many 'alternative' styles of music with a selection of guests from the local and international music scenes.
I currently work at Percy Community Centre, Bath, where I am studio manager and run a small practice and recording space with Barnaby Collins. We are both active members of the Community Centre Youth club where the space is also available free for 11-17 year olds who attend the youth group. They are invited to come and use a variety of instruments and learn some basic skills in composing, playing, performing or music production...or just to hang out and make some noise!
