Studio Booking/Tutorials/Recording/Mixing

 At Percy Community Centre we have a control room and live room

 with a variety of in house instruments and PA set up.



Live room:
- 2 electric guitars; 1 acoustic guitar
- 4 guitar amps
- 1 bass guitar
- 3 bass amps
- 1 drum kit (kick, snare, 3 toms, hi-hat, crash, ride)
- 1 Roland XP-80 workstation keyboard
- 1 Peavey PA with ~12-channel powered mixer
- 1 Arturia MiniBrute synth
- Various microphones (roughly 4-5 dynamic vocal; 1-2 dynamic instrument; 2 large diaphragm condenser; 6-channel Shure drum mic kit)
- 2 8-channel DI units and an 8-channel headphone amp
- Loads of headphones (mostly Sennheiser HD 280 Pros), cables, mic stands & other accessories

Control room:
- Mac Mini with Logic Pro + plenty of plugins
- PreSonus Quantum 2626 audio interface
- Allen & Heath Zed 436 mixer
- 28-in, 4-out analogue snake that links the two rooms
- 2 Mackie HR824 studio monitors

Studio Manager, Mike Smith is a Creative Music Technology and Sound Production Masters Degree Graduate from Bath Spa. He specialises in contemporary production skills and acousmatic sound design based compositions.

He also brings 30 years of experience in the local and international music scenes as a Producer/Remixer/ Band member/Promoter/DJ.



The studio and live room with engineers are available for FREE bookings on Thursday evenings from 6-9 as part of the Youth Project for 9-17 year olds.
